Jaz Harris is an emerging performer and educator currently studying Classical Saxophone at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University under the direction of Brad Millard. While her studies are centred on all things classical, Jaz is well versed in various other genres and styles. She has performed in a wide variety of bands from rock outfit Old King Jones, to The Queensland Conservatorium Big Band, which has given her the experience in many different settings. Currently she is performing as part of the Queensland Conservatorium Saxophone orchestra as well as multiple Saxophone Quartets. Other than playing, Jaz can be found teaching saxophone, flute, clarinet and piano at the Australian Academy of Music, plus pursuing personal compositional projects. She seeks to continue her multi-faceted successes of education, composition and performance and is looking forward to the opportunity of travelling overseas for the XVII 2015 World Saxophone Congress in Strasbourg, France.
