• Welcome to the Queensland Conservatorium Saxophone Orchestra 2016

Last year was an epic year of performing in schools, for MOST music camp, with Continuum Saxophone Quartet, Barega Saxophone Quartet and with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra. Not to mention our tour to Europe where we worked with the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester and their lecturers Rob Buckland and Andy Scott. Then off to Paris to perform in the Selmer Showroom thanks to Florent Milhaud. After which we spent 7 days in Strasbourg attending the XVII World Saxophone Congress (SaxOpen) where we featured in a recital and performed with the Australian Saxophone Orchestra. Since our return we have been working hard to document all the wonderful efforts of our Australian composers such as Thomas Green, Matilda Grieve, Carlin Hara-Crockford, Andrew Ball, Erik Griswold, Robert Burrell, Gerard Brophy, Louise Denson, Kate Hamill, Martin Kay, Jack Jones, Katia Beaugeais, Jakob Bragg, and Mathew Klotz. Funded by the Australian Council for the Arts we were excited to launch this double CD titled Australian Made 2015: 6:30pm on the 23rd of November at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University. Available now online at http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/queenslandconservatorium2

In the meantime, feel free to peruse our first official CD. Our Australian Made 2012 recording is currently listed with CD Baby and iTunes https://itunes.apple.com/au/album/australian-made-2012/id618413798
